The first emojis were created in 1998 (or 1999) by Shigetaka Kurita for the i-mode mobile platform and the set consisted of 172 images, 12 × 12 pixels in size, and included in the messaging functions. This set has become a kind of "chip" of the platform.
For almost 20 years of existence, the emoji palette has grown significantly, and each update of it causes a keen interest of users. And not surprising, because the picture carries more information, and the cute and emotionally colored one also makes communication more interesting!
